It seems I have gained some lesson from the above experience, while I was browsing my CitisecOnLine (COL) account, I noticed a surge in demand on a stock named Altus Properties Ventures Inc. (APVI) I was able to buy 1,000 shares at Php 27.75


Seeing that it is at the ceiling, I infer from my experience from Merry Mart (MM) that there is a great possibility that APVI will increase in price the next day. Lo and behold APVI hit another ceiling at Php 41.60 giving me a gain of Php 13,000+ for a day of investing.

Fighting my tendencies to grab the 50% gain in my stock position, I decided to wait for the price movement of APVI for the succeeding day.

The early trading hours of the day shows a reduction of the trading price of APVI, reducing my potential gain. To assure my gains I sold 500 at Php 48.50 but since a buyer is willing to buy it at Php 49.50, I was able to collect Php 49.50 per share. As soon as I have dispose my 500 share there was a surge in the price of APVI to Php 56 per share. The 500 shares at 49.50 per share, has basically covered my cost for the purchase of 1000 shares of APVI, thus making the disposal of the remaining share the possible gain for this position.

I put a sell order of Php 58.00 per share for the remaining 500 share, and it was sold.


So today is a good day, I earned  Php 25,437.04 from a Php 27,831.88 position, basically doubling my money in two days.
